Irish Tatler magazine celebrates 120 YEARS
with iconic collectable cover
Irish Tatler magazine is celebrating 120 years as Ireland's original style bible with an iconic cover shoot featuring three generations of Irish Hollywood glamour with MAUREEN O'HARA, ALISON DOODY and SAOIRSE RONAN.
Three generations of Irish Hollywood glamour
For this landmark issue, Irish Tatler has brought together three global Irish movie stars to celebrate its 120 year anniversary, and for the first time Maureen O'Hara, Alison Doody and Saoirse Ronan have been photographed together by renowned Irish photographer Barry McCall. As part of this extraordinary event, Irish Tatler has interviewed each actress with a special in depth feature with Maureen O'Hara on her life and career in which she talks candidly about her leading men and performing her own stunts; Alison Doody chats about Bond, Grace Jones and saying no to nudity; and star in the ascendant, Saoirse Ronan talks about her new movie, Violet and Daisy and how she plans to make the all-important graduation from child to adult movie star.
Happy Birthday to us!
Also in this very special issue we delve into the archives with a look at past covers, changing fashions since Irish Tatler's inception as Lady of the House in 1890, the evolution of beauty coverage and advertising in the last 120 years and we take a look at the magazine's reportage coverage since 1890 including Irish Tatler's coverage of 1916 and the changing role of women in Irish society. We have a specially commissioned piece by Irish historian Professor Diarmaid Ferriter, author of Judging Dev and writer/presenter of RT series The Limits of Liberty giving a potted history of social and cultural change for Irish women since Irish Tatler's inaugural issue.
120 Prizes to be won
In this special addition we have 120 prizes to giveaway, from smartphones to holidays, one for every year of the magazine's life, one each for 120 of our readers.
Also in the November issue of Irish Tatler:
The Gold List
The annual guide to the who, what, where that's hot right now - are you on it?
The Great Campaign
In a moving interview, Melanie Verwoerd talks exclusively about the UNICEF Euro for Zero campaign and life after Gerry Ryan.
Fashion
We speak to up-and-coming designer Amanda Grogan about winning one of fashion's most lucrative prizes and this month's fashion shoot, A Stitch In Time, brings you the great looks of the last century. Tommy Hilfiger takes us through his Icon collection and French courtier Stphane Rolland talks about dressing Beyonc and Cheryl Cole.
